In 1976, when Charman Motor Trimmers & Upholsterers Ltd was established as a locally-owned and operated family business, Kimber Buglass joined as a young apprentice motor trimmer and upholsterer.  Today, he is the managing director of the company, where he continues the highly valued tradition of skilled craftsmanship and excellent customer service.  Surprisingly, technology in motor trimming and upholstery has not changed markedly over 32 years, so professional pride and attention to detail are never compromised for fast service.

The team is encouraged to be innovative and original in design - a strategy which paid dividends in 2006 and 2007 when the company won awards at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show for the ‘Aluminium Open Category’.   Charman’s customers benefit from these award-winning skills.
